First and Latest Science projects

My 6th grade science project was titled "Color Perception". It was made with low-tech paper paint chips that Mrs. Achilles gave me and Mom later had to eat for losing a bet on my success with the project. It won me 3rd place in county-wide competition at Delaware Valley College Regional Science Fair in May 1995.

17 yrs. later, my 21st grade project presented at the Cell Biology conference in San Francisco was titled "Construction of a Ubiquilin-2 Interaction Network Affected in ALS" was done with high-tech biochemical assays, has taken 5x as long, and has yielded me neither a publication or a PhD. I wish I were 12 yrs. old again.
